Dragon Dance remembers the lost Chinatown of Steveston’s past, and imagines the Chinatowns that could have been. It acknowledges the profound sacrifices that early Chinese Canadians made for the economic prosperity of Steveston, and recognizes the diversity of past, present, and future generations. It celebrates the dragon, the heart of Chinatown and a symbol of the Chinese Canadian community.
